MPs endorse six months state of emergency

Parliament has endorsed a six months state of emergency as requested by President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi.
The President had called a special meeting of Parliament to request a six months-long state of emergency in order to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, the country is undergoing a 21-day state of public emergency and extreme social distancing. Botswana has recorded 13 cases of positive COVID-19 cases and one death. Ends
