Botswana registers two more COVID-19 cases

Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Lemogang Kwape, has announced that two more people have tested positive for corona virus. He told a press conference in Gaborone this afternoon that these were a 27-year-old man and his female companion, also aged 27.
The man flew in from Britain, through Ethiopian Airline, on March 21. He was tested on March 28 at Scottish Livingstone Hospital after showing signs of COVID-19.
Dr Kwape said the ministry traced 46 people who were in contact with the man and one of them was his female companion who also tested positive.
This brings to six, the number of people who tested positive for corona. One has already passed on while the remaining five are stable at Sir Ketumile Masire Training Hospital in Gaborone.
He said since testing on the National Health Laboratory, a total of 966 tests were conducted; 804 were negative, six positive (one death) and results of 156 specimen were still being processed. The laboratory continues to recieve specimen daily ends
