Trade ministry discourages non - essential supplies
Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has noted with concern that there were some individuals who sell traditional beer either in outlets or their homes.
A press release from the ministry reminds traders and the general public that essential suppliers are open for sale of essential supplies only, as listed in the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) Regulations, 2020.
The release states that essential suppliers that contravene the regulations shall be liable to penalties.
The ministry encourages the public to contact it for clarification at MTI Public Relations Office at 3601330/209 during working hours or email: MITIPRU@gov.bw or ministry facebook page. ENDS
