In the wake of coronavirus, Nyangagbwe Referral Hospital has put in place measures to curb the possible spread of the virus.
A press release from the hospital says people who are not well and show flu like symptoms will be prohibited to visit the facility’s wards.
The hospital advises such people to stay at home as a precautionary measure to safeguard the health of patients.
Moreover, only two visitors who will take turns to enter the ward will be allowed per patient at 6:45am to 7:15am, 1pm to 2pm and 7pm to 7:30pm respectively.
“All visitors are to observe strict hygiene measures by washing their hands with soap and water availed at the hospital and use sanitizers when entering and leaving our facility,” says the release.
The release also states further that all external referrals and elective surgical operations have been put on hold until further notice, and that emergency cases will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the hospital management.
The hospital has tightened security to ensure compliance to the measures which effected last Friday. ENDS
