Kweneng registers 18 suspected COVID-19 cases

Kweneng region has registered 18 suspected cases of COVID-19. Out of these, 13 were from Kweneng East, one from Kweneng West and four from Thamaga area.
Out of four, who have already tested, two came out negative and authorities were still awaiting other results. Coordinator of Kweneng Regional Health Management Team, Ms Chipo Petlo today, said this at a press briefing in Molepolole today.
Meanwhile, two isolation centres have been identified in the region. The TB isolation ward at Scotish Livingston Hospital will be used to quarantine suspected cases. The newly built clinic in Kumakwane would be used as an isolation centre.
Two lodges have since come forth to pledge their facilities as quarantine cites.
The region is also preparing The Institute of Health Sciences in Molepolole as well as Molepolole College of Education to be used as quarantine cites in anticipation of an over spill from Gaborone. ends
