Ministry postpones agric shows

The Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food Security has announced indefinite postponement of all agricultural shows and related activities.
A press release issued by the ministry on Friday explains that the decision follows the declaration of coronavirus a pandemic.
The release informs farmers and stakeholders that all agricultural shows and related activities such as farm walks, field days and crop exhibitions have been postponed until further notice.
It also says the postponement comes in the wake of government pronouncements on measures to be taken to prevent transmission and spread of COVID-19.ends
