Tubu Tlhale schools receive machines

Parents in Tubu have been urged to have a hand in the education of their children by actively working with teachers for better results.
Speaking during the handover of state-of-the-art photocopying machine recently, Tubu Primary School head, Ms Grace Molapisi said education was crucial in people’s lives, hence it was the responsibility of both teachers and parents to ensure that children got good results.
The photocopying machine was purchased for the school by World Group of Companies following a plea by former Ngami MP Mr Thato Kwerepe last year.
Ms Molapisi blamed some parents who took their children to assist at ploughing fields during school days, noting that such children would be left behind in their studies by the time they returned to school.
On another issue, the school head said Tubu primary was challenged with shortage of ICT equipment such as computers and printers.
She thus commended World Group of Companies for closing the gap with a photocopying machine that could also scan and print.
“We are grateful for such a gift. This will motivate teachers and consequently better academic results,” she said.
Another challenge facing Tubu primary, Ms Molapisi said was a shortage of accommodation for teachers, as currently, some were using storerooms as houses.
For his part, Former Ngami MP, Mr Thato Kwerepe implored Tubu primary to share the photocopying machine with other schools within the vicinity such Gumare.
He noted that resource-sharing was important as it could also mean skills sharing.
Meanwhile, Tlhale Primary School in Gumare also received a photocopying machine on the same day, courtesy of World Group of Companies.
