Ramotswa Border Post and 11 others have been closed. Botswana Unified Revenue Service took the decision on Monday to close points of entry with South Africa to adhere to precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The points of entry include Zanzibar, Platjan, Pontdrift, Bray, Makopong, McCarthy’s Rust, Middlepits, Sikwane, Phitshane Molopo, ParsHalt and Twee-rivieren.
The public has been encouraged to minimise external travel and also take precautionary health measures as advised.Ends
