Funds shortage delays hospital project
12 Mar 2020
Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe has said the Palapye Primary Hospital upgrading was not implemented during the 2018/19 and 2019/20 financial years due to budgetary ceiling constraints.
Responding to a question in Parliament on March 11, Mr Lelatisitswe stated the upgrading of the hospital to 120 beds was prioritised in the NDP 11 and was proposed for implementation in the 2018/19 financial year.
He said the Ministry re-prioritised the hospital in the NDP 11 Mid-Term Review and would be considered for implementation before the end of the plan. MP for Palapye, Mr Onneetse Ramogapi had asked the minister to give an update on the upgrading of Palapye Primary Hospital. ENDS
