The Vice President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane, visited Mokgosi family in Molepolole on March 11, following the death of Ms Nametso Tatedi-Mokgosi who died on Monday after a short illness.

Ms Tatedi-Mokgosi was wife to Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) councillor for Lephaleng Ward in the Molepolole South constituency, Mr Slumber Mokgosi.

The Vice President’s visit followed that of President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi as well as some cabinet ministers who also conveyed messages of condolences to the family.

Mr Tsogwane was accompanied by Assistant Minister of Basic Education and also MP for Lentsweletau-Mmopane, Ms Nnaniki Makwinja as well as some members of Parliament.

“My prayers are with the family particularly the spouse Mr Slumber Mokgosi in these difficult and trying times,” Mr Tsogwane said at the evening prayers organised by BDP members.

He said the family should take comfort in God with knowledge that when a loved one passed on, it was the most unfortunate experience that could happen to anyone.

Mr Tsogwane also urged BDP members to always strive to support one another in times of happiness and sorrow.

A neighbour to the Mokgosi family, Ms Khekhe Tsheboyagae said the deceased was full of love and welcomed everyone with warmth in her homestead.

She also said Ms Tatedi-Mokgosi also loved trees and had taught them how to plant and care for them.

Molepolole South women’s wing chairperson, Ms Gaefele Morake, said the deceased was supportive of her husband’s political life and also loved people.

Ms Tatedi-Mokgosi first joined the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Administration as senior administration assistant in July1993.
