New villages to be electrified in future

Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Mr Lefoko Moagi has told Parliament that Zutshwa, Ncaang, Ukhwi, Ngwatle and Inalegolo settlements would be considered together with new villages for electrification in the future, subject to availability of funds.
Mr Moagi said, “I am not in a position to indicate how long it will take to electrify these settlements because there are no plans to electrify new villages during 2020/21.”
He was responding to a question from Member of Parliament for Kgalagadi North, Ms Talitha Monnakgotla, who wanted to know about the connection of electricity in the above-mentioned settlements.ENDS
