Ministry decides on fuel point need - Mzwinila
08 Mar 2020
The Ministry of Transport and Communications is best suited to decide on the need for a fuel point along the new loop road to be constructed connecting Mmandunyane, Shashe Mooke, Borolong, Chadibe and Mathangwane.
This was said by the Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Kefentse Mzwinila in response to a parliamentary question recently.
Minister Mzwinila explained that in the instance that the need was established, his ministry would facilitate land allocation accordingly.
He said for a privately owned petrol station, the ministry had not yet made a development plan for the area, which would guide the different land uses.
Mr Mzwinila said once the plan was done, business plots would be advertised prior to allocation.
Furthermore, he stated that he was fully aware that there was a road construction project connecting the villages of Mmandunyane, Shashe Mooke, Borolong, Chadibe and Mathangwane.
The Tonota legislator, Mr Pono Moatlhodi had asked the minister if he was aware that a new loop road connecting Mandunyane, Shashe Mooke, Borolong, Chadibe and Mathangwane would soon be constructed.
Mr Moatlhodi also wanted to know if the ministry would consider allocating a plot along the road for establishing a Central Transport Organisation fuel point or a privately owned petrol station. ENDS
