Scope of the expansion of A10 road under the current contract of the Output and Performance based contracts (OPRC), did not include street light construction in Moshupa, Thamaga and Ramaphatle.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Thulagano Segokgo told Parliament on Monday that his ministry had no plans to install street lights in Moshupa, Thamaga and Ramaphatle, but the villages would be considered with other priorities in future.

He said this in response to a question from Member of Parliament for Thamaga-Kumakwane, Mr Palelo Motaosane who had asked the minister to explain why the expansion of A10 road left out the street lights component in the said villages and to state if this was deliberate. MP Motaosane also wanted the minister to give reasons as to when the street lights would be installed. ENDS
