Abattoir construction start this month

Construction of Tsabong abattoir is scheduled to commence in March and is estimated to cost P101 million.
The Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security, Dr Edwin Dikoloti, said this in response to a parliamentary question on Monday. Minister Dikoloti said the construction of the abattoir was expected to be complete within 12 months and the project had been awarded to Innovative Process Solutions.
The Member of Parliament for Kgalagadi South, Mr Sam Brooks, had wanted clarity on when construction of the Tsabong abattoir would commence, at what cost and the duration of the project. Mr Brooks had also asked the minister to name the company which had been awarded the tender. ENDS
