Ministry suspends bookings

Ministry of Transport and Communications has temporarily suspended bookings for driver theory tests.
A media release from the ministry says the suspension of driver theory test bookings is a result of the recent shutdown of Government Information Technology Systems which affected a number of systems including the Driver Testing System hence Theory test bookings had to be deferred.
The release further says bookings were temporarily suspended this week to address the backlog as a matter of priority and shall be re-opened to the public from February 24.
It says in light of the development, only the deferred tests have been rescheduled for the week of February 17th to 21st 2020. ENDs
