Parliament has been informed that the Ministry of Basic Education does not have any plans to bituminise the internal roads connecting the teachers’ residential area with the administration block of Shashe River School.

Responding to a question from MP for Tonota, Mr Pono Moatlhodi, Assistant Minister of Basic Education, Ms Nnaniki Makwinja said she was aware that the internal roads in the school were in a poor state.

She however, said her ministry would provide funding for the general maintenance of the school in the new financial year 2020/21 and the school head would prioritise their needs within the available budget.

MP Moatlhodi had asked the minister if there were any plans to bituminise the internal road connecting the teachers’ residential area with the school’s administration block. ENDS
