Masisi reminisces

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi on Februart signed the book of condolences at the Kenya High Commission in remembrance of former Kenyan president Mr Daniel Arap Moi who died on Tuesday at the age of 95.
In his message, President Masisi said it was with deepest sorrow that on behalf of the people of Botswana, he was sending condolences to the people of Kenya and the Moi family on the loss of a true Pan Africanist.
He said he still had vivid memories of President Moi’s first state visit to Botswana in 1968, when he was among the flag bearing pupils at the then Gaborone International Airport to welcome the Kenyan leader.
Mr Moi was Kenya’s second president and ruled from 1978 to 2002. ENDS
