The Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Assistant Minister, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse has informed Ntlo Ya Dikgosi that his ministry currently does not have plans to create an additional post for the position of Senior Chief Representative in the Ngwaketse West Region.

He told Ntlo Ya Dikgosi that the current Senior Chief Representative based at Mabutsane was supported by Chief Representatives at Maokane, Sekoma, Mabule and Khakhea who attended to matters or cases appealed from the lower courts (Courts of Record), hence ‘does not have a heavy workload.’

The assistant minister was responding to a question from Ngwaketse West Region representative, Kgosi James Khumanego, who had asked if the ministry could consider creating a second post for a Senior Chief Representative in the Ngwaketse West Region to relieve the current Senior Chief Representative of the heavy work load.
