Mabutsane primary hospital projects in NDP 11
27 Jan 2020
A primary hospital billed for Mabutsane has been included in the eleventh National Development Plan (NDP 11).
The assurance was made by the acting senior assistant council secretary for Mabutsane Sub-district, Mr Raphael Moatswi during a recent kgotla meeting addressed by the Member of Parliament for Jwaneng-Mabutsane, Mr Mephato Reatile recently.
Mr Moatswi indicated that although most development projects that the sub-district requested were not approved, the primary hospital was one of a few that made it.
Others were minimal land service for the village as well as upgrading of Maokane and Sekoma clinics.
Mr Moatswi also advised village development committees to always buy government documents such as national development plans so that they would be aware of what was in the plan.
Mr Moatswi was responding after Kgosi Kgakgamatso Moletsane complained that they were long promised a primary hospital in the village, but that it kept on being postponed.
He said as a sub-district headquarters, it was sad that Mabutsane lagged behind other villages that were declared sub-district headquarters long after it in terms of developments.
He also said they had long requested upgrading of their tribal administration offices.
For his part, Mr Reatile informed residents that NDP 11 would soon be reviewed and was hopeful that the sub-district would be given additional development projects.
However, he said until the review had been done, he could not promise much.
Mr Reatile also informed residents of the importance of participating in development projects proposals for their village t.
Concerning the tribal administration offices, he assured residents that he would write to the relevant minister to enquire on the issue.
MP Reatile also addressed a kgotla meeting at Kanaku settlement, where Kgosi Tokosi Tshubalebone requested a court clerk and police officers to enable him to start handling cases.
He said there was so much delinquency in his small settlement, mostly because residents had realised that their kgosi had no powers to try cases. ENDS
