Boseja South cllr praises Maun Greater Lions Club

Councillor for Boseja South in Maun, Mr Itumeleng Kelebetseng, has urged Maun Greater Lions Club organisation to adopt Boseja South ward.
He said this at a donation by Maun Greater Lions Club to a Boseja ward resident Mr Bogosi Sefela. Lions Club donated special diet groceries.
The councillor noted that the club did a commendable job by assisting Mr Sefela who is partially paralysed due to diabetes.
He said because Boseja South ward was the largest ward in Maun East constituency, assistance of any kind was appreciated.
Maun Greater Lions Club president, Ms Tankiso Rantsetse, said the club had a mandate to assist underprivileged members of society as well as people suffering diseases as diabetes and cancer.
She said Mr Sefela was selected through the help of the North West District Council (NWDC) as part of the Lions’club mandate to assist people with diabetes and the less privileged.
Ms Rantsetse said Lions Club also assisted in environmental conservation through planting trees as well as eye camp which assist people with eye defects.
She said the last eye camp which was held at Chanoga last year saw about 96 people across all ages tested and given spectacles.
Mr Sefela thanked Maun Greater Lions Club for the donation.
He however said he still needed more donations especially monetary wise for his regular trips to Letsholathebe II Memorial Hospital for medical attention. Ends
