Supremacy Bikerz, in partnership with Etso organisation, has donated clothes to two charity centres in Tlokweng.

Speaking at a handing over of the clothes, Tlokweng Member of Parliament, Mr Thulaganyo Segokgo, applauded Supremacy Bikerz for helping government take care of the underprivileged and vulnerable children.

He said for both charity centres to achieve their mission, there was need for the community to accord them support in terms of food, clothing and skills.

Mr Segokgo, also Minister of Transport and Communications, pledged P1 000 to the centres.

Supremacy Bikerz president, Mr Anthony Masire, said they saw it fit to extend a helping hand to the community.

He said the donation was a way of helping the underprivileged children and to restore their hope.

Mr Masire said the project was the first from their club.

A representative from Tlamelong Rehabilitation Centre, Ms Lerato Motlhagodi, thanked Supremacy Bikerz and Etso organisation for the donation, noting that it was start of a partnership, which needed to be nurtured in order to benefit the centre.

She said the donation would make a big difference in the lives of people living with disabilities.

She noted that for the past years, the centre focused on providing vocational training for the physically disabled and later saw the need to cater for intellectual disability from across the country.

The centre, she said, aimed at providing rehabilitation services for the disabled community in Tlokweng.

They also wanted to create opportunities for an independent life for people with disabilities.

Child and youth development coordinator at SOS Children's Villages in Tlokweng, Mr Thabo Botshelo, said the centre’s role was to give care and provide basic services to children, assist them lead a normal life before integrated back into the society.

“We look up to individuals and corporate entities to take care of these children as child sponsors, house sponsors or share skills with them, but above all there is love that we can show to these children,” he added. Ends
