In an interview, Tshesebe police station commander, superintendent Amos Kekgathetse stated that two women aged 30 and 47 from Masunga and Zwenshambe respectively died during a Sunday service.
He stated that a 30-year-old was brought to church by her relatives for prayers because she wasn’t feeling well on that day and subsequently passed on and certified dead upon arrival at Tshesebe clinic, while the other victim suffered a heart attack upon hearing the sad news that her brethren had passed on.
He indicated that upon falling sick, the other church members took her to Tsamaya clinic where she passed on.
He revealed that according to health reports the second woman had a history of diabetes, dizziness and heart diseases which could have led to her death when the shocking news broke.
The station commander said according to their investigation, the victims didn’t drink nor eat anything at church.
Supt Kekgathetse highlighted that the church priest also suffered a shock from the dreadful passing of his congregants and was admitted at Nyangabwe hospital where he was discharged after three days. ends
