Botshabelo school obtains 100 per cent pass in examinations

Selebi Phikwe mayor, Mr Lucas Modimana has commended Botshabelo Primary School for the 100 per cent pass rate in the 2019 PSLE examinations.
Speaking at the school on January 14 , Mr Modimana said the results were proof that hard work pays.He encouraged pupils to aim high, noting that he was a mayor because of hard work.
Mr Modimana said it was an pleasing for the school to have achieved such an impressive mark given that it was located in an area with more social problems than any other in Selebi Phikwe. Such, he said took hard work and determination.
He challenged pupils to set themselves targets from day one of resuming school.
Mr Modimana commended the school head, Ms Mariam Ditsele and her staff for the achievement.
He also applauded the pupils for their neat appearance.
“Cleanliness is next to godliness,” said Mr Modimana.
Member of Parliament , Selebi Phikwe East, Mr Kgoberego Nkawana said he believed that some aspired to become MPs like himself, councilors and mayors all of which was possible through hard work but advised also that they heed teachers and parents advice.
For his part, deputy mayor who is also the ward councilor, Mr Macdonald Sebego also congratulated the school saying they made it despite challenges.
He said having chaired the VDC, he got to experience the challenges, teachers were faced with and promised to do his best to find solutions.
Selibe Phikwe Sub-region principal education officer, Mr Cosmos Chabata hailed parents for playing an active and positive role in their children’s education through the Parents Teachers Association.
He said the town was synonymous with good results and expressed his delight particularly with Botshabelo Primary School. ENDS
