Masisi receives hampers

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi on December 20, received donations of Christmas hampers from various business entities for emergency service providers during the festive period.

Over 11 000 emergency service personnel from the MVA Fund, Botswana Defence Force, Botswana Police, Botswana Prisons Service, Fire and rescue services and the Ministry of Health and Wellness, among others, are expected to be on duty during this period.

In declaring their contributions, Sefalana holdings limited CEO, Mr Chandra Chauhan said the company and some of their distributors were proud to be part of the initiative.

He said they put together different products to the value of P500 000. He said he hoped the contribution would go a long way in making life pleasant for those who would be on duty.

Spar supermarket managing director, Mr Hans Kampmann said the company was willing to engage with the communities throughout the country. He said they had various projects aimed at charity and developments. Spar donated P50 000.

Vice chancellor of Limkokwing University of creative technology, Dr Gape Kaboyakgosi said their contribution was part of their corporate social responsibility. He said the organisation through their Safe The World Foundation implored them to share with those who were not fortunate in society. This time, he said those who sacrificed their family time in the line of duty were worth the recognition.

Mr Etsile Mosalagae, who represented Game City, thanked President Masisi for allowing them to display the good heart and the good spirit of sharing.
