Orapa Spar receives accolades for helping less privileged

Letlhakane Social Welfare officer Mr Lebogang Keitumetse has commended Spar staff for the spirit of giving.

He said this during a handing over of a three-bedroomed house built by Orapa Spar for 99-year-old Mr Nxadile Kamkwae of Letlhakane. 

In addition to the house built at the tune of P70 000, Orapa Spar donated food hampers, blankets and bed for the elderly man. 

Orapa Spar staff identified his need during a previous visit and raised funds towards the project.

Mr Keitumetse commended Spar for uplifting the lives of others, adding on that, shelter is an essential need.

He said the donation was testament that they had ambition because it took courage to uplift the lives of others.

The social welfare officer urged Mr Kamkwae`s children and residents to take care of him, adding that  he needed special care.

He hailed the Orapa Spar team for successfully completing the project despite the challenges they faced.

Mr Keitumetse also implored other companies and individuals to help Phase one ward residents since there was a lot of need. 

The butchery manager Mack Dominic who was the director of the project said looking at harsh weather conditions and how the family lived, they saw it fit to change to assist by providing shelter.

He thanked Barlow World, Motwana, Makgarapa and Bokomo for making the project a success.

Mr Dominic said the despite the challenges they were able to able to complte the project  hence the handover, which is a testimony. 

The house was handed by Miss Keitumetse Kewagamang on behalf of the district commissioner who also praised Orapa Spar for their excellent work. Ends
