Churches and the country’s leadership gathered at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology hall for a national thanksgiving service on December 15.

It was time for Batswana to stand in unison and give thanks to God for a peaceful year.

Among those in attendance were the President, Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi, First Lady, Ms Neo Masisi, Vice President Slumber Tsogwane,  Chief Justice Terrence Rannowane, Speaker of the National Assembly Mr Phandu Skelemani,  some cabinet ministers, MPs, senior government officials and pastors.

Some pastors led the congregation in thanking God for rain, leadership, peace and political stability. 

Chairperson of the Ministers’ Fraternal, Reverend Lt Colonel Reuben Moatlhodi said the church would not stop praying for the continued tranquility that Botswana enjoyed. 

He said it was important for the nation to enjoy the goodness of the Lord, adding that the Lord’s blessings and glory were evident throughout the country. Ends
