Gravelling, re-gravelling and spot improvement on some roads will be done in the 2020/2021 financial year.

When responding to a question in Parliament, Minister of Transport and Communications Mr Thulagano Segokgo said the works would cover Lehututu-Maaka-Monong, Hukuntsi-Monong-Hunhukwe, Monong-Ncaang-Ukhwi roads as well as the Hukuntsi-Zhutshwa-Ngwatle-Ukhwi roads.

He said his ministry was currently preparing 2020/2021 project procurement plan under which all the mentioned roads would be considered subject to availability of funds.

He further said during the current financial year, the minstry was able to do some spot improvement on the Hukuntsi-Monong and Hukuntshi-Zhutswa roads through local contractors.

The minister told the Parliament that these were 12 months contractors with two slots per month. He was responding to a question from the Kgalagadi North MP Ms Talitha Monnakgotla who wanted to know if the minister would consider frequently re-gravelling the roads under discussion. Ends
