Centre advocates for children
15 Dec 2019
Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre in Serowe plays a crucial role of advocating for children with special needs, the center coordinator, Ms Lesego Bolaane has said.
Ms Bolaane said this during the Christmas celebration party which was organised by Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) for the learners as a way of giving back to the community.
She expressed gratitude to the parents for enrolling their children at the centre. Ms Bolaane also acknowledged BPC for the Christmas presents and also for spending the day with the pupils.
Ms Bolaane said the school was faced with challenges that included popularity issues as it was not yet known. She said they were seeking professionals who could carry out research on the centre. The school currently does not have a website, so she pleaded for volunteers to create a website and also newsletters for the centre.
The coordinator also cited transport as another major challenge as the centre also caters for children in places like Mabeleapodi and Paje. Ends
