Christ Ambassadors (CA), an Assemblies of God Church youth group, has been applauded for proclaiming the goodness of the Lord through the works of their hands.

  The praise came from Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Mr Tumiso Rakgare during a donation ceremony of toiletry hampers by CA meant for needy Moshupa Senior Secondary School pupils.

  Speaking at the end of CA’s five-day camp at the school, he said Christians were God’s ambassadors on earth and it was therefore imperative for them to live the word of God especially by demonstrating love to those in need.

The minister also applauded the church’s youth, comprising members from Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, South Africa and eSwatini for setting a week aside each year to serve the Lord.

He encouraged them to continue touching lives especially by preaching the good news to their peers. 

Minister Rakgare said it was important for young people to play a role in nation building.

On another issue, he promised visitors that government would work tirelessly to improve service at entry points to facilitate easy movement.

CA president Pastor Mothusi Bojosi said the general membership of the group contributed towards the donation.  

He said the spirit of the donation was to make life easy for needy  pupils and afford them dignity.

Pastor Bojosi explained that the aim of the camp was youth empowerment and networking.

He revealed that some members of the business community were invited with a view to empower the youth to take advantage of  available government programmes.

Members were treated to a night of arts called ‘God deserves the best’ aimed at encouraging young Christians to explore and make the most of their God given talents.

He said camps were held alternately between the northern and southern parts of the country at which time donations were made to host schools.

School head, Mr Terrence Seitiso was thankful for the gesture and promised the donation would be put to good use. Ends
