People living with disabilities deserve dignity

Tshidilo Stimulation Centre Manager, Mr Ramoremi Mphothwe says children with disabilities deserve love and care so that they can have dignity just like any other child.
Speaking during Tshidilo Stimulation Centre Christmas party recently, Mr Mphothwe said children with disabilities had human rights just like any child, and they were also a gift from God.
He said since its establishment, the centre had held a Christmas party every year to bring together parents and the learners to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Mr Mphothwe indicated that their Christmas parties had always been a success due to the assistance of different stakeholders, who donated clothes and food hampers, among others.
A senior consultant at Safari Specialists Company, Ms Kagiso Bojosi said for this year’s Christmas party, her company donated school uniform and food hampers as a way of showing appreciation to children living with disabilities.
She noted that every year, the company had something to give out to Tshidilo Stimulation Centre as a way of giving back to the community.
“The school uniform that we have donated will give children a sense of belonging in the society.
It will also boost the children’s confidence and they will be able to perform well in their studies,” said Ms Bojosi.
Ms Tebogo Montlenyane, a parent who attended the event, expressed gratitude to the stakeholders who made the Christmas party possible and urged them to continue with the noble gesture. Ends
