Kgosi Mosielele charity challenge Sunday
27 Nov 2019
The inaugural Kgosi Curty Mosielele charity cycling challenge is set to bring together riders to raise funds for a worthy cause come Sunday in Manyana.
The mountain bike race charity challenge is a fundraiser to support the building of a classroom block for Bikwe Primary School, which is seven kilometres from Manyana.
The brains behind the challenge, Shadrack Motswiri, indicated that the school, which is currently housed at a local church, has only Standard 1-4 whilst upper class pupils travelled 14 kilometres to and from Manyana.
Motswiri said the charity cycle challenge was intended to improve the livelihoods of the children of Bikwe. Although it is a charity challenge, he said there would be prize money, adding that they expected Botswana cyclists from elite to veteran.
Botswana’s mountain bike talent, Gontse Lethokwe, who is a Manyana native, will also be among those partaking in the charity challenge.
The Kgosi Curty Mosielele charity challenge will have 63 and 43 kilometre rides as well as 21 kilometre corporate and fun rides.
Registration is ongoing at BK Cycles, Ultimate Cycle Base and Bike Shop and online at www. Ucbtiming.co.bw.
The youth and junior categories registration fee is P200 while elite, under 23, veterans and masters is P250. Corporate registration is P500 and the fun ride is P150. Ends
