Ms Eunice Kebeetsweng could not believe her luck, as she won a brand new Toyota Etios worth about P175 000 in the Lewis Furniture Store’s competition at the Kanye Branch.

Ms Kebeetsweng, a Secretary at Kanye Administration Authority, encouraged people to always pay their debts on time, a statement that was met with a rousing round of applause.

She won the prize from a competition, which offered Lewis Furniture customers from around the country an opportunity to enter a draw upon payment of an extra P100 towards their monthly instalments. 

Ms Kebeetsweng shared that mostly, customers tend to buy furniture on hire purchase, but later fail to pay instalments leading to conflict with the store. 

She said to address the challenge, customers should formulate plans and exercise discipline in the management of their debts, adding that through such discipline, customers could also take advantage of competitions.

For his part, Lewis Store, Southern Region Controller, Mr Johannes Mahlasela shared that the Kanye branch was one of the best in the country, due to the support of its clients.

“We are proud of our customers as they are the reason for our existence and play a crucial part towards our success,” he said. 

Mr Mahlasela noted that some of their milestones were achieved due to the fact that the store was able to serve people from different economic backgrounds and financial classes.

He said the store strived to ensure that every customer was assisted according to their affordability. 

He advised customers to always choose a debt repayment plan that worked for them and avoid being overwhelmed by debts. ENDS
