The Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) opened office in Letlhakane last month to service entrepreneurs in the Boteti area.

Through the office, LEA intends to continue providing business development and support services to assist entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses in line with the robust 2018-2023 transformative strategy, which focuses, among others, on the creation of innovative, competitive and sustainable Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises.

Such enterprises are continuously nurtured by LEA country-wide to increase production, create employment and promote exports.

LEA therefore extended its coverage to Boteti region to enhance service delivery and bring its services closer to the people.

Letlhakane office will also cover areas such as Orapa, Rakops, Mopipi, Motopi and other villages in the region.

Previously, SMMEs in the Boteti region were assisted by the LEA Branch in Serowe.

LEA offers targeted services that are intended to uplift the SMMEs and grow their businesses.

These include: business advisory, business management training, technical and practical training, on-site coaching and monitoring market access and linkages, mentoring business incubation technology and innovation support. ENDS
