Giving back to community advances developments

Mongala Mall Spar Supermarket manager Ms Hilda Setuke says it is important to give back to the community to advance developments.
Donating 58 pairs of shoes worth over P15 000 to the special unit learners at Segopotso primary school in Kanye recently, Ms Setuke said together with her team they had always been eager to locate the needy and offer the necessary assistance.
She implored other companies and individuals to follow suit noting that the country needed people who could partake in developments to assist Batswana to advance.
She said creating conducive environment for education was critical for academic performance.
Ms Setuke said they met the pupils through the help of Mr Mpho Kumako who is visually challenged and advocates for People Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) rights.
For his part, school head Ms Segopotso Maphane shared that Segopotso primary was the only school that admitted learners with special needs.
When appreciating the gift from Spar supermarket, she said concerted efforts were better than solitary, noting that if people could emulate Spar, the country would go far.
Ms Maphane was grateful that the supermaket had managed to locate the special unit learners.
Kanye Administrative Authority (KAA) chairperson Mr Tlhomamo Dibeela pointed out that giving was not simple as it comes from the heart.
Mr Dibeela said Mongala Spar supermarket contributed immensely to the community.
Mr Dibeela opined that special unit learners should be provided with requisite tools to unleash their potential. ENDs
