 President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi on October 9 visited the acting Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP), Mr Elias Magosi, to express his condolences following the passing of his mother, Ms Rebecca Magosi.

Dr Masisi visited the family in Lobatse, accompanied by minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration Mr Nonofo Molefhi, acting deputy permanent secretary Ms Peggy Serame, Lobatse mayor Ms Malebogo Kruger and Lobatse deputy district commissioner Ms Kolobetso Sejakgomo.

“I have found it proper to come here to express my condolences and ask you to be comforted,” Dr Masisi said, urging the family to find strength in God.

Family spokesperson, Mr Marumo Magosi, appreciated the show of support from the President at such a difficult time when they are mourning the passing of a parent. He said the Magosi and Masisi families have known each other for many years.

 

Ms Magosi, who was born in 1943, passed away on October 7 and will be buried in Lobatse this Saturday. She leaves behind two children. ENDS
