Accident claims life

Selebi Phikwe police are investigating a case in which a 30-year-old male biker lost his life when his motorcycle hit a Nissan bakkie along the Francistown road near Selebi Phikwe Senior Secondary School.
Selebi Phikwe Police Station Commander, Superintendent Meshack Pulenyane said the accident happened October 3, around 5pm.
He said although investigations were still ongoing, police suspect that the biker was riding at a high speed and failed to apply the brakes.
He said the biker was certified dead on arrival at the hospital. Superintendent Pulenyane warned motorists against speeding and reminded them to drive at the allowed speed of 60km per hour within towns. ENDS
