Fighters overcome Holy Ghost
07 Oct 2019
Mogoditshane Fighters took advantage of home ground to defeat Holy Ghost 1-0 during a first division match on Saturday.
It took Khumbulani Maziba through the mid second half to find back of the net with an easy tap in to secure the much needed three points.
Following the win, Fighters would now have a breather since it catapulted them to the top five in the log with six points, just four points shy from leaders, Mochudi Center Chiefs.
Fighters lost their first two matches and now with two wins in a row they seem to be getting their house in order while on the other hand Holy Ghost recorded the second loss with one win and a draw.
On another note, the absence of medics during first division league games remained a mystery, despite the league being known for robust rough tackling tendencies.
A Holy Ghost player was whisked away to the hospital on a private vehicle after sustaining a head injury, something that could have have been a wake-up call to the organisers to prioritise players’ safety. ENDS
