Moshupa Police are investigating the cause of a September 30 accident in which a 27-year-old man died and two others sustained minor injuries.

According to the station commander, Superintendent David Ramoseki, a Toyota Runx hit a Toyota Corrolla at a junction within Moshupa in the wee hours of Independence Day.

The 27-year-old, who was a passenger in the Corolla, was certified dead on arrival at Mmaseetsele Clinic while the two drivers were treated for minor injuries and discharged.

In another incident, Supt Ramoseki said a Mazda Demio overturned along the A10 Road next to Goo-Kodisa on September 29 after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Both the driver and passenger sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Thamaga Primary Hospital before being transferred to Princess Marina hospital where they were recuperating.

Police investigations continue.

On other issues, he cautioned the public against fraudsters who promised them jobs in exchange for money.

He appealed to people to follow the right procedures when seeking employment and avoid entertaining mischievous adverts.

One such case was reported to Moshupa Police last month but it had since emerged that the problem was widespread, he said.

In Kanye, Supt Mmoloki Mogale said six men aged between 25 and 30 of Mosimanegape Ward in Lotlhakane East would soon be arraigned for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He said preliminary investigations indicated that two of the suspects had a fight on September 30 and the following day, one of them connived with five others to attack the rival and his parents.

In the big fight that ensued, nine people, including a 38-year-old woman and 40-year-old man, sustained serious injuries from being stoned and hit with spades, he said.

Supt Mogale said all nine were still receiving medical attention. ends
