Buffalo attacks 62- year-old man

A 62-year-old man of Kavimba is said to be in a stable condition at Kasane Primary Hospital after he was seriously injured by a buffalo on September 19.
Superintendent Situme Budani of Kachikau Police said the incident happened at 4:45pm at Matlhabanelo Cattlepost near Kavimba cemetery when the man was looking for cattle.
He said prior to the incident, a couple that was collecting firewood in the same area had tried to caution the victim by shouting, but he could not hear them as he is deaf.
Superintendent Budani said the buffalo was later shot dead by a community member.
This is the second buffalo attack in the same village following an incident in which an 80-year-old woman was killed by a buffalo last month while she was looking for her missing goats. Ends
