Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism has declared the 2019 hunting season.

According to a public notice issued by the ministry, the hunting quota has been approved and is displayed at all Department of Wildlife and National Parks offices around the country.

Interested members of the public are therefore advised to approach the nearest wildlife offices between 7:30am to 4:30pm during the week to register to hunt with effect from September 3 to 16. The notice explains that raffles will be held on September 20 to allocate the quota and that all those who have registered to hunt will be eligible to participate.

Quotas for community and concession areas will be communicated in due course. Members of the public are advised to bring their identity cards for registration.
