Botswana senior national football team's coach is confident that the team is more focused to face South Africa in a second leg of an Olympic qualifier billed for Orlando Stadium at 7 pm today.
Coach Gaolethoo Nkutwisang said the girls were ready, but she conceded that the game would not be easy.
“Morale is very high. We knew very well that Orlando Stadium is a big pitch, we trained there yesterday, but all in all we are prepared. What matters is how we are going to deploy ourselves,” she said.
Furthermore, the coach said the game was going to be quick, adding that their mission would be to absorb pressure and ultimately march to the next leg.
The team psychologist, Kutlo Sebeso said a few players had a bit of fear but she was working closely with them.
“It’s normal to have that fear, but overall the mood and morale is very high. During our sessions, the listen when advised and there is a lot of team work and support from the coaches and teammates, which is vital for mental well-being,” she said.
The physiotherapist, Thabo Tebele said the team was free from injuries, although some showed minor signs of minor injuries and one had signs of flue, which were being attended to. ENDS
