A Motswana softball pitcher Samuel Kunyalala scored a first to be roped by an Israelite team as a guest player at the ongoing softball tournament in Rome, Italy.

The Police IX softball player has been invited by the foreign team to join them on a week-long tournament that started on August 24 ending on September 01.

His  manager  Katlholo Mosimanegape , revealed that it was not the player’s first time to be invited by a foreign team.

The manager said a while back while playing for Francistown based team, Ghetto Young Samuel was invited by a team from Japan.

However, along the way the team realized that their scouting quota for international players had reached a limit  and therefore could not sign him.

He further noted that the team therefore took him for a period of three months for training, which enhanced his skills as a pitcher.

Mosimanegape  said Samuel’s international recognition was a national pride as gets scouted while on national team assignments.

The manager said ever since the player joined Police IX softball club last year, he had created major competition amongst other players, being motivated by the opportunities that are presented before him, and as a result are doing their best to reach his level.

“Samuel is very passionate about softball and his role as a pitcher. He puts a lot of hard work and emotions into what he does. He is a submissive player both on and off season,” said Mosimanegape , adding that this makes him a special player. Ends
