Yet another death Maun man succumbs to elephant rage

A 41-year-old man of Danega settlement in the outskirts of Nokaneng in the Okavango Sub-district was on August 26 attacked and killed by an elephant.
Confirming the incident, Senior Superintendent Samuel Kgomo said in an interview that the deceased met his fate while on his way to the cattle post around 730pm.
A neighbour informed police that the deceased passed by his homestead and that he later heard some elephants moving in the direction of the deceased’s place.
Senior Superintendent Kgomo said the informer decided to check on the deceased the following morning only to find him dead on the way to his place.
The deceased sustained serious injuries to the head and all over the body. Ends
