Moshupa Hospital construction starts September

28 Aug 2019

Member of Parliament for the Moshupa-Manyana constituency also Acting Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Karabo Gare says the construction of the long awaited Moshupa Hospital will start first week of September, 2019.

Mr Gare made the announcement when addressing a kgotla meeting in Lotlhakane West in August 27.

He said the construction of the hospital would relief constituents the burden of travelling long distances to seek medical attention in other areas.

Constituents usually seek health services from the Kanye Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) and the Thamaga Primary hospitals.

He said the hospital was proof that government cared for Batswana.

He said though the hospital would immensely benefit the constituents, it was also open to other Batswana who would need such health services.

Mr Gare expressed gratitude for his predecessor, now President, Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi for the developments in the area, adding that  he (Gare) was continuing from where his predecessor left to bring about developments to the area.

Mr Gare also applauded President Masisi for the visionary leadership, noting he would take the country far in regards to development.

Mr Gare said what the president had done thus far was testimony that under his administration thorough consultations were made with regard to wildlife-human conflict that would enable affected areas to practice both arable and pastoral farming.

He said the president restored and built a rapport between the government and public servants, adding a disgruntled employee may disadvantage the populace.

The MP further said the president cemented international relations through his visits to other nations to open Botswana’s opportunities in the global market.

He said under Dr Masisi-led government, Botswana Defence force (BDF) pay structure was aligned with that of the rest of the public service to ensure soldiers were adequately paid, among others.

Responding to comments Mr Gare said the water situation would be addressed by the North-South Carrier Water Project that aimed to provide potable water supplies to southern part of Botswana.

Commenting, a resident of Lotlhakane West Ms Phalolo Modiakgotla thanked the area MP for being faithful to constituents during his tenure, and wished him well in all his endeavors.

Another resident Mr Motlhanka Mokodi shared that they were eager for construction of the hospital, and called for improvement of the condition of the road that leads to Tshwaane as well as the water situation in the area.

He said the village population had increased thus it needed better developments. Ends
