Botswana Book Project donates

Botswana Book Project (BBP) has donated academic equipment to Mosielele Primary School.
Handing over 1 500 books and solar study lights to Standard Seven pupils, BBP director Mr Ezekiel Malenya explained that the gesture was intended to help improve the school’s academic performance.
He said the donation came with a view to meet government halfway, adding that their vision was to help schools develop a culture of reading and research.
Mr Malenya further promised Kgosi Jonas Sewawa that his organisation would build a public toilet at his ward.
The school head, Mr Mosupi Kgasa described the assistance as a shot in the arm for the school, which has maintained an average performance of 62 to 72 per cent for the past few years.
He said the gesture would re-energise their resolve to achieve more.
Mr Kgasa explained that they were already in the process of cultivating a reading culture in the school.
He further applauded the organisation for repairing school computers and donating solar lamps to learners who had no electricity at home to enable them to study on their own at night.
Mr Kgasa said learners would now do research on their own, ‘thanks to the donation’. ENDS
