 Motopi Junior Secondary School pupils have been told to bear in mind that their current life has implications on their future. 

  “Your future depends on what you do in school,” said Vice President Mr Slumber Tsogwane during a visit to the school recently.

   He urged the pupils to refrain from alcohol, drug abuse and love relationships and to commit to their studies in order to achieve their dreams of a bright future. 

  “Have interest in science-related subjects which are key to a knowledge based economy,” he said. 

    The vice president said students should be conversant with national plans as well as Vision 2036 which outlines their future.

 Mr Tsogwane said it was important for pupils to have role models and to interact with influential people.

Being in leadership should start at an early age, he said. 

In her welcome remarks, the school head Ms Victorious Gogannekgosi said the school had consistently improved academically in the past three years. She however complained about shortage of furniture and classrooms which had resulted in some lessons being offered in the  hall. 

Ms Gogannekgosi also said the school was in a dilapidated state therefore due for renovation.

The school head appealed  to the vice president to help them secure a company to adopt school which would help in addressing some of the challenges. 

Mr Tsogwane praised the school management for remaining committed despite the challenges.

He promised to engage the relevant ministry concerning the challenges.

The vice president donated a computer and books to the school. ENDS
