Nine investors usher in FDI inflows of P3.2 billion

The Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Ms Bogolo Kenewendo, has told Parliament that a total of nine investors with a cumulative Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows of P3.2 billion was realised since April 2018.

In addition, she said  the ministry had a total domestic and expansions investment of P2.6 billion by 14 companies in the same period.

Ms Kenewendo said the investment resulted in creation of 7 771 job opportunities for Batswana.

She stated that these jobs were from companies facilitated by the ministry.

The  MP for Nkange, Mr Edwin Batshu, had asked the minister to state  the number of investors who had invested in Botswana since April 1, 2018 and how many Batswana had been employed to date. ENDS
