The Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe, has told Parliament that the ministry is aware that Gweta hospital is in the process of repairing the old X- ray machine, which has not been operating for sometime.

He said the machine was expected to be functional by the end of next month. He also said procurement process for placement of the machine was ongoing and the new machine was expected to be delivered by first quarter of 2020/21.

He also said his ministry had also procured a mobile X-ray machine for Gweta hospital to be used as a backup for the main device.

The assistant minister further revealed that delivery of the mobile machine was expected by end of September.

He was responding to a question in parliament by Nata/Gweta MP, Mr Polson Majaga who had asked the minister if he was aware that Gweta hospital had been without X-ray machine for sometime. ENDS
