16 doctors 320 nures in Ftown DHMT

There are 16 doctors and 320 nurses in the greater Francistown District Health Management Team (DHMT), says Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe.
He said there was a shortfall of 14 doctors which was attributed to resignations and shortage of the professional cadre in the country.
He noted that there were supposed to be 30 doctors and 317 nurses.
He said some positions were being held in other DHMTs and referral hospitals to alleviate issues of acute shortage across the country, and that his ministry would continue to recruit more doctors to fill in vacant positions.
Francistown South MP, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi had asked the minister to state the number of doctors and nurses in the Francistown DHMT against the establishment register. ENDS
