Parliament has been informed that maintenance for Nxakato Junior Secondary School(JSS) is planned for 2021/22 financial year.

Assistant Minister of Basic Education, Mr Moisaraele Goya said the school was last maintained in 2013/14, adding that it was not budgeted for expansion under NDP 11.

However, Mr Goya said the construction of one science laboratory was planned under ESP through the use of the alternative materials and technologies.

Unfortunately, he said, all bidders failed the compliance stage in the tendering process in 2018/2019.

He further said his ministry had therefore re-tendered the same works but using convectional materials and the works were planned to start later during the current financial year.

Still in Parliament assistant minister said the maintenance for Kutlwano JSS was last carried out in 2012/13 and has been scheduled for maintenance in the financial year 2020/21.

Mr Goya was answering a question from Nata- GwetaMP, Mr Polson Majaga who had wanted to know what was causing the delay in construction and maintenance of Nxakato and Kutlwano JSS in the Nata-Gweta Constituency. Ends
